CONFIGURING AND USING WIDGETS AND LIVE TEXT

Installing the Widgets and Live Text feature
The Widgets and Live Text feature is installed automatically. Using policy and preference settings, an administrator can control which users can display the My Widgets sidebar panel as well as various levels of access to Widgets and Live Text functionality. End users may not see the My Widgets sidebar panel, yet still access widgets that are available when they act on Live Text. End users can also control some Live Text display aspects.

If policy allows, users can see the My Widgets sidebar panel by clicking File - Preferences - Widgets and enabling the "Show Widget Toolbar and the My Widgets Sidebar panel" option.

End users who may not see the Widgets and Live Text sidebar panel or toolbar, may still be able to act on Live Text in their documents.

Note You can customize an install manifest to remove supplied features from the install. However, never remove the Widgets and Live Text feature from the install manifest; instead use policies or preferences to control user access. Also, the Widgets and Live Text feature requires the Feeds feature, which is also automatically installed; it must also remain resident in the install manifest.
