Considerations before installing Notes on Mac OS X
Before installing IBM® Lotus® Notes® on an Apple® Mac OS X® client, you should be familiar with the following information.

The install kit for Notes install on a Mac OS X client consists of the following items:
Notes installation Meta-package (.mpkg)
Uninstaller application
The following information is helpful when installing Notes on a Mac OS X client:
For recommended memory, see the "Software requirements" section of the release notes or tech notes.
The installation program will detect and upgrade an existing Notes installation to the current Notes installation.
If you are upgrading Notes, turn off all options in the Application Sharing tab of the Shared System Preferences panel.
You can install Notes in a multi-user environment. Single user install is not supported.
Users must have administrator-level privileges to install.
Installation and use of Notes on a USB drive is not supported for Notes standard configuration.
